No Beat Needed is a short-form series where artists perform their verses acapella, no beat, no distractions, just presence, delivery, and bars. Singers, poets, and spoken-word artists step up too. NO BEAT. JUST TALENT.
Created by ELUS, The Kindgenius. No performance, appearance, or outcome is promised to any artist or viewer beyond what is on this page.

Two kinds of rows, always labeled. EDITORIAL means a human staff pick. FOR YOU means the local recommender used your follows, saves, and favorite categories, with a deliberate boost for the newest voices so discovery does not only reward big audiences.
Apply to appear on No Beat Needed. Requirements: you are 18 or older, the work is yours to perform, and you can perform acapella, 12 to 16 bars for rap or the agreed piece for singing, poetry, or spoken word. A submission does not guarantee an appearance. Every submission is reviewed by a human, and selected artists complete an appearance release before filming.

No Beat Needed is an independent a cappella discovery series from the Bronx, built by an award-winning engineer and growing an owned home for its audience. Audience figures shared in a proposal are verified figures with a stated date range. Nothing is estimated and presented as measured.
One performance episode, sponsored labeling wherever it appears, and a verified metrics report after publication.
A run of episodes across a season block, with campaign deliverables tracked and reported.
A branded spotlight package around an editorial feature. Editorial selection stays with NBN and is never sold.
A live showcase or industry event package, scoped after the event plan and venue are confirmed.
Raw talent deserves a platform. No Beat Needed exists so an independent artist can prove, in under a minute, that the talent is real: no beat, no production to hide behind, just presence, delivery, and the work itself. Every voice deserves to be heard, and the stage is yours if you can hold it acapella.
No Beat Needed was created by ELUS, also known as The Kindgenius: a Bronx-based, award-winning audio engineer, producer, and artist manager with nearly 30 years in music. His engineering credits include work on Nas Grammy-winning album King Disease, where he engineered Brucie B vocals on The Definition, alongside work with Jim Jones, French Montana, Pharoahe Monch, and many independent artists. That engineer ear is why NBN audio is treated as a brand standard, not an afterthought.
The series launched in June 2026 on Instagram, filming artists performing short acapella verses, typically 12 to 16 bars, with portable professional video and audio. It grew from a single launch performance into a roster of rappers, a singer, and a poet, plus full shoot days like the October 3, 2026 session at Bushwick Collective in Brooklyn. This site is the network home for that work.
Authentic performance first. Artists keep ownership of their work, releases are signed before filming, editorial picks are human and labeled, and no one can buy a win, a pick, or a ranking here.
Use the Sponsors page for partnership and media inquiries in this MVP. Artist questions start at the submission portal. A public contact email will be added with the production launch, after the domain decision.
Demo view for Malik. In production this sits behind owner and admin roles only. Roles in the full model: owner, admin, editor, moderator, artist, fan, industry.
